Costa Maresme Spain

Maresme is a county located along the Catalan Mediterranean coast, between the counties of Barcelonès (at the Southwest) and Selva (at the Northeast), and also bordering with Vallès Oriental (at the west). Maresme stretches along the coast, south of Costa Brava. Long, sandy beaches, pine woods, villages on the coast and nestling among the mountains as protection from pirates, and modernista mansions where the well-to-do classes used to spend the summer.
